About us

In September 1989, our first toy auction took place in the Kaiserkeller in Ladenburg. The photos for our catalog were taken on an old freezer. Our preview took place in an exhibition space measuring approximately 30 m². The auction items were stored in small bags, which were stacked in crates up to the ceiling. Some customers spent a whole day here to view all the items. Approximately 600 items were auctioned, some of which were even depicted in small black and white illustrations. The auction hall was located in an old vaulted cellar in the town of Ladenburg.

From these beginnings, with a great deal of effort on our part and that of our employees, an ever larger company has grown. The simple camera has long since been replaced by the high-quality digital camera, and state-of-the-art lighting and flash technology now shows the museum's deliveries in the best light.
Our auction catalogs are printed in color on high-quality glossy paper. However, we have retained the familiar, cozy atmosphere of the past. Today, an auction comprises Today, an auction comprises approx. 3000 items from the entire toy industry from 1750 to 1960.

Our new auction house opened in 2003. This was preceded by years of planning with the town of Ladenburg. It was our idea to exhibit our customers' many high-quality collectibles in a museum setting before the auctions. Efficient handling of the work steps on the one hand, and careful handling of the the work steps on the one hand, and careful handling of the auction items on the other, are of great importance to us. After delivery, the auction items are described, photographed and decorated in the display cases.
During the auction, the items do not have to removed from the display cases. Instead, they are presented to the auction audience on a large screen. The items can be previewed by our customers at any time in the display cases. On 450 m² of exhibition space, visitors can enjoy a cup of coffee while learning about the history of the toy industry . The constantly changing exhibits give this museum a varied character.

Modern technology gives us a competitive advantage in the market. Our auction catalogs are presented in two languages on the Internet. Our websites are visited by approximately 20,000 computers.
Approximately 20,000 collectors worldwide are among our customers. And perhaps we will also be able to welcome you to an auction in Ladenburg one day. A visit to the medieval old town is well worth it.

Auction house opening hours: Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Uhr.
